宋齊玉。號慧覺。初於霅川寶藏寺。建淨土會。後住上竺。夜半頂彌陀像行道念佛。一日謂首座曰。床前多寶塔現。非吾願也。所欲則淨土耳。可為我集眾念佛。首座鳴鍾。僧至將百餘。玉云。今已見佛。瞑目端坐而逝。

Qiyu of the Song was styled Huijue. At first, he established a Pure Land association at Baozang Temple in Zhachuan; later, he resided at Shangzhu. At midnight, carrying an image of Amitābha upon his head, he circumambulated and practiced buddhamanasikāra. One day he said to the head monk: "The Prabhūtaratna Stūpa has appeared before my bed; this is not my wish. What I desire is only the Pure Land. Please gather the assembly for me to practice buddhamanasikāra." The head monk struck the bell, and nearly a hundred monks arrived. Yu said: "Now I have already seen the Buddha." Closing his eyes, he sat upright and passed away.
