宋元照。住靈芝。弘律學。篤意淨業。念佛不輟。一日令弟子。諷觀經及普賢行願品。趺坐而化。西湖漁人。皆聞空中樂聲。

Yuanzhao of the Song resided at Lingzhi, propagated Vinaya studies, and set his mind earnestly on pure karma, practicing buddhamanasikāra without interruption. One day, he ordered his disciples to recite the Guan jing and the Bhadracarīpraṇidhāna Chapter. He sat cross-legged and transformed. Fishermen on the West Lake all heard the sound of music in the air.
