宋思敏。依靈芝律師增受戒法。專心念佛二十年。後有疾。請眾諷觀經者半月。越三日。見化佛滿空。臨終念佛。聲出眾外。酷暑留龕七日不變。香滿室中。

Simin of the Song dynasty received an increase of precept transmission according to the Vinaya master Lingzhi. He focused his mind on buddhamanasikāra for twenty years. Later he fell ill, and requested the assembly to chant the Contemplation Sūtra for half a month. Three days later, he saw nirmāṇabuddhas filling the sky. At the verge of death, he practiced buddhamanasikāra, his voice rising louder than that of the assembly. In the intense summer heat, his shrine remained undisturbed for seven days without change, and a fragrance filled the room.
