贊曰。琳誦經有沙門現前。蓋誠感耳無足為異。其生西方。不係乎是。修淨業者。毋取相希慕焉。

In praise we say: A monk appeared before Lin as he chanted the sūtras simply because his sincerity evoked a response; there is nothing strange about it. His rebirth in the Western Direction did not depend on this. Those who cultivate pure karma should not cling to appearances and yearn for such things.
