贊曰。天多欲樂。兼有女人非解脫處。古謂。假饒修到非非想不若。西方歸去來。是以贊淨土者。謂上品即發彼岸。下生猶勝天宮。今光於命盡之際。而詳審堅固所願確然。可謂明且勇矣。

In praise we say: The heavens have many sensual pleasures and also have women; they are not places of liberation. The ancients said: "Even if one cultivates up to the sphere of neither-perception-nor-non-perception, it is not as good as returning to the Western Direction." Therefore, those who praise the Pure Land say that the superior grade departs directly for the other shore, while even birth in the inferior grade surpasses the heavenly palaces. Now Guang, at the end of his life, was discerning and firm, his vow resolute; he can be called both clear-sighted and brave!
