11.45

日容和尚。奯（音豁）上座參。師拊掌三下云。猛虎當軒誰是敵者。奯曰。俊鷂冲天阿誰捉得。師曰。彼此難當。曰且休未斷遮公案。師將拄杖舞歸方丈。奯無語。師曰。死却遮漢也（雲山云。奯不別前語）。

Upādhyāya Rirong. Sthavira Huo came for instruction. The Master clapped his hands three times and said, "When a fierce tiger blocks the porch, who can be its adversary?"
Huo said, "When a swift falcon soars to heaven, who can catch it?"
The Master said, "Both are hard to match."
[Huo] said, "Let us rest for now; this public case has not yet been settled."
The Master danced with his staff back to the abbot's quarters. Huo was speechless.
The Master said, "This fellow has died!" (Yunshan said, "Huo did not distinguish the preceding words.")
