益州長平山和尚。問視瞬不及處如何。師曰我眨眼也勿工夫。問如何是祖師意。師曰。西天來唐土去。

Upādhyāya Changpingshan of Yizhou. A monk asked, "What about the place where looking and blinking cannot reach?" The master said, "I have no time even to wink." The monk asked, "What was the ancestral master's intention?" The master said, "Coming from the Western Heavens, going to the land of Tang."
