14.25

水空和尚。師一日廊下逢見一僧乃問。時中事作麼生。僧良久。師曰。只恁便得麼。僧曰。頭上更安頭。師便打之曰。去去已後惑亂人家男女在。

Upādhyāya Shuikong. One day, the Master met a monk in the corridor and asked, "How are the matters of the twelve periods of the day?" The monk remained silent for a long time. The Master said, "Does just this suffice?" The monk said, "It is adding another head on top of a head." The Master then hit him and said, "Be off, be off! Hereafter you will delude and confuse the sons and daughters of other families."
