潭州伏龍山和尚（第三世住）問行盡千山路。玄機事若何。師曰。鳥道不曾棲。

Upādhyāya of Mount Fulong in Tanzhou (third-generation resident). A monk asked, "Having traveled the paths of a thousand mountains to the end, what is the matter of the profound dynamic?" The master said, "The bird's path was never roosted upon."
