17.68

新羅泊巖和尚。問如何是禪。師曰。古塚不為家。問如何是道。師曰。徒勞車馬迹。問如何是教。師曰。貝葉收不盡。

Upādhyāya Pagam of Silla. [A monk] asked, "What is Chan?" The Master said, "An ancient tomb is not a home." [The monk] asked, "What is the Way?" The Master said, "In vain are the tracks of carts and horses." [The monk] asked, "What is the teaching?" The Master said, "The palm leaves cannot contain it all."
