19.35

洛京憩鶴山和尚。柏谷長老來訪。師曰。太老去也。谷曰。還我不老底來。師與一摑。問駿馬不入西秦時如何。師曰。向什麼處去。

The Upādhyāya of Mount Qihe in the Western Capital (Luoyang). Elder Baigu came to visit. The Master said, "Too aged!"
Gu said, "Give me back the one who is not aged."
The Master gave him a slap.
[A monk] asked, "How is it when a thoroughbred steed does not enter Western Qin?"
The Master said, "Where is it heading?"
