20.46

韶州龍光和尚。僧問。人王與法王相見時如何。師曰。越國君王不按劍。龍光一句不曾虧。師上堂良久云。不煩珍重。問如何是西來意。師曰。胡風一扇漢地成機。問撥塵見佛時如何。師拊掌顧視。問如何是龍光一句子。師曰。不空羂索。曰學人不會。師曰唵。問如何極則為人處。師曰。慇懃付囑後人看。問賓頭盧一身為什麼赴四天供。師曰。千江同一月萬戶盡逢春師有偈曰。

The Upādhyāya of Longguang in Shaozhou. A monk asked, "How is it when the king of men and the King of Dharma meet each other?"
The Master said, "The king of the Yue realm does not press his sword; / Longguang's single phrase is never lacking."
The Master took the high seat, paused for a good while, and said, "Do not trouble yourselves; take care."
[A monk] asked, "What is the meaning of the coming from the West?"
The Master said, "When the barbarian wind fans once, the Han land forms its opportunity."
[A monk] asked, "How is it when brushing away dust to see the Buddha?"
The Master clapped his hands and looked around.
[A monk] asked, "What is Longguang's single phrase?"
The Master said, "Amoghapāśa (the unfailing lasso)."
[The monk] said, "The student does not understand."
The Master said, "Oṃ."
[A monk] asked, "What is the ultimate way of acting for people?"
The Master said, "Earnestly entrust it for later people to see."
[A monk] asked, "Why does Piṇḍola with one body attend offerings in the four heavens?"
The Master said, "A thousand rivers share the same single moon; / Ten thousand households all meet spring." The Master had a verse, saying:
