洋州龍穴山和尚。僧問。如何是祖師西來意。師曰。騎虎唱巴歌。問大善知識為什麼却與土地燒錢。師曰。彼上人者難為醻對。
Upādhyāya Longxueshan of Yangzhou. A monk asked, 'What is the meaning of the Ancestral Master's coming from the West?' The master said, 'Riding a tiger and singing songs of Ba.' [The monk] asked, 'Why does a great kalyāṇamitra burn paper money for the earth spirit?' The master said, 'For that venerable one, it is hard to make a reply.'
