潭州龍興裕禪師。僧問。是何是學人自己。師曰。張三李四。曰比來問自己。為什麼道張三李四。師曰。汝且莫草草。問諸餘即不問。如何是和尚家風。師曰。家風即且置。阿那箇是汝不問底諸餘。

Chan Master Yu of Longxing in Tanzhou. A monk asked: "What is the practitioner's self?" The Master said: "Zhang the Third and Li the Fourth." The monk said: "I came especially to ask about oneself; why do you say Zhang the Third and Li the Fourth?" The Master said: "Do not be so hasty." The monk asked: "I do not ask about anything else; what is the Master's house style?" The Master said: "Set aside the house style for a moment. What is that 'anything else' that you do not ask about?"
