25.37

盧州長安院延規禪師。僧問。如何是庵中主。師曰。到諸方但道從長安來。師化緣將畢。以住持付門人辯實接武說法。乃歸本院西堂示滅。

Chan Master Yangui of Chang'an Cloister in Luzhou. A monk asked, "Who is the master within the hermitage?" The master said, "When you go to various places, just say you came from Chang'an." When the master's conditions for teaching were coming to an end, he entrusted the abbotship to his disciple Bianshi to continue the lineage and preach the Dharma. He then returned to the Western Hall of this cloister and manifested extinction.
