27.55

有僧入冥見地藏菩薩。地藏問。是爾平生修何業。僧曰。念法華經。曰止止不須說我法妙難思。為是說是不說。無對（歸宗柔代云。此迴歸去敢請流通）。

A monk entered the netherworld and saw Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva. Kṣitigarbha asked, "What practice did you cultivate in your lifetime?" The monk said, "Reciting the Lotus Sūtra." Kṣitigarbha said, "'Stop, stop! There is no need to speak, my Dharma is wonderful and hard to conceive.' Is this speaking, or is it not speaking?" The monk had no reply. (Guizong Rou gave the substitution: "Returning this time, I venture to ask to circulate it.")
