閩王送玄沙和尚上船。玄沙扣船召曰。大王。爭能出得遮裏去。王曰。在裏許得多少時也（歸宗柔別云。不因和尚不得到遮裏）。

The King of Min saw off Upādhyāya Xuansha to his boat. Xuansha tapped the boat and called out, "Great King! How can you get out of here?" The King said, "How long have I been inside?" (Guizong Rou spoke alternatively: "Were it not for the upādhyāya, I would not have arrived here.")
