後有僧問法眼。和尚不知雲門意作麼生。法眼曰。大小雲門被遮僧勘破（五雲曰。什麼處是勘破雲門處。要會麼。法眼亦被後僧勘破也）。

Later, a monk asked Fayan, "Upādhyāya, what was Yunmen's intention?" Fayan said, "Great and small Yunmen was tested and seen through by this monk!" (Wuyun said, "Where was Yunmen tested and seen through? Do you want to understand? Fayan was also tested and seen through by the later monk.")
