鷄鳴丑。一顆圓珠明已久。內外推尋覓總無。境上施為渾大有。不見頭又無手。世界壞時渠不朽。未了之人聽一言。只遮如今誰動口。

At cockcrow, the hour of chou: / A single round pearl has long been bright. / Searching inside and outside, it cannot be found at all, / Yet acting upon sensory realms, it is fully and abundantly present. / No head is seen, nor are there hands; / When the world is destroyed, it does not decay. / Those who have not understood, listen to one word: / Just who is moving their mouth right now?
