祖曰。汝今後方可名為念經僧也。師從此領玄旨。亦不輟誦持。

The Patriarch said: "From now on, you may truly be called a sutra-reciting monk." From then on, the Master grasped the profound import, yet did not discontinue his reciting and upholding.
