11.40

鼎州大龍山德全禪師。僧問。如何是法身。師曰。聲前拍不散。云學人便恁麼時如何。師曰。句後覓無蹤。

Chan Master Dequan of Mount Dalong in Dingzhou. A monk asked, "What is the Dharma body?" The Master said, "Before sound, clappings do not scatter it." [The monk] said, "How is it when a student is just like that?" The Master said, "After the phrase, search leaves no trace."
