11.52

處州南明惟宿禪師。僧問。法法不隱藏。古今常顯露。如何是顯露底法。師曰。見示大眾。曰恁麼則學人謹退也。師曰。知過必改。

Chan Master Weisu of Nanming in Chuzhou. A monk asked, "Phenomena do not hide; from past to present they are constantly exposed. What is the exposed phenomenon?" The Master said, "Manifestly shown to the great assembly." [The monk] said, "Then this student respectfully withdraws." The Master said, "Knowing an error, one must correct it."
