福州棲勝繼超禪師。上堂拈拄杖良久曰。三世諸佛盡在這裏𨁝跳。大眾還會麼。過去諸佛說了。未來諸佛未說。現在諸佛今說。敢問諸人。作麼生是說底事。卓一下曰。蘇嚧蘇嚧。

Chan Master Jichao of Qisheng in Fuzhou ascended the hall. He held up his staff, paused for a long while, and said, "All the Buddhas of the three periods are right here leaping about. Does the great assembly understand? The Buddhas of the past have already spoken; the Buddhas of the future have not yet spoken; the Buddhas of the present are speaking now. May I ask you all: what is that matter which is spoken?" Striking [the ground] once, he said, "Sulu, sulu."
