揚州建隆原禪師。姑蘇夏氏子。上堂拈柱杖曰。買帽相頭依模畫樣。從他野老自顰眉。誌公不是閑和尚。卓拄杖下座。
Chan Master Jianlong Yuan of Yangzhou was a son of the Xia family of Gusu. He ascended the hall, picked up his staff, and said: "Buying a hat to fit the head, drawing patterns according to the mold. Let that rustic elder knit his brows as he will; Master Zhi was no idle monk." He struck his staff and stepped down from the seat.
