洪州百丈智映寶月禪師。僧問。師唱誰家曲。宗風嗣阿誰。師曰。窣堵那吒掌上擎。曰恁麼則北塔的子韶石兒孫也。師曰。斫額望新羅。

Chan Master Zhiying Baoyue of Baizhang in Hongzhou. A monk asked, "Whose song does the master sing? Whose ancestral style do you inherit?" The Master said, "A stūpa held aloft on Nata's palm." [The monk] said, "If so, you are a true son of Beita and a descendant of Shaoshi." The Master said, "Cutting the forehead and gazing toward Silla."
