23.14

寺丞戴道純居士字孚中。咨叩靈源。一日有省。乃呈偈曰。杳冥源底全機處。一片心花露印紋。知是幾生曾供養。時時微笑動香雲。

Upāsaka Court Supervisor Dai Daochun, styled Fuzhong, consulted Lingyuan. One day he had an insight and presented a verse: / "At the bottom of the profound source, where total dynamic functions, / A single petal of the mind-flower reveals its imprinted pattern. / Knowing how many lifetimes of offerings have been made, / Time and again a subtle smile stirs the fragrant clouds."
