Chan Master Chi of Xuedou in Qingyuan Prefecture was a son of the Lu family of the prefecture. A monk asked, "How is it when one does not see the moon at Mid-Autumn?" The Master said, "Wait further for late in the night and look." The monk said, "What if the black clouds have not dispersed?" The Master said, "How could you blame this old monk?" Ascending the hall: "Awakening the mind is easy, but putting the mind to rest is difficult. Putting the mind's source to rest, everywhere is at leisure. The Dipper revolves, the stars shift, and the sky is about to dawn; / White clouds cover the blue mountain just as before."
