24.14

鎮江府金山了心禪師上堂。佛之一字孰云無。木馬泥牛滿道途。倚遍闌干春色晚。海風吹斷碧珊瑚。還有同聲相應同氣相求者麼。百鳥不來樓閣閉。秖聞夜雨滴芭蕉。

Chan Master Jinshan Liaoxin of Zhenjiang Prefecture ascended the hall: "Who says the single word 'Buddha' does not exist? Wooden horses and mud oxen fill the roadway. Having leaned against railings on every side, the spring scenery grows late; sea winds snap off the blue coral. Is there anyone whose tone harmonizes, whose temperament resonates? The hundred birds do not come; the pavilions are closed. One only hears night rain dripping on the plantains."
