臨安府顯寧松堂圓智禪師上堂。蘆花白蓼花紅。溪邊脩竹碧煙籠。閑雲抱幽石。玉露滴巖叢。昨夜烏龜變作鼈。今朝水牯悟圓通。咄。

Chan Master Songtang Yuanzhi of Xianning in Lin'an Prefecture ascended the hall [and said], "Reed flowers white, knotweed flowers red; / By the stream, slender bamboos enveloped in green mist. / Idle clouds embrace secluded stones; / Jade dewdrops drip onto rocky thickets. / Last night the tortoise transformed into a soft-shelled turtle; / This morning the water ox awakens to perfect penetration. / Bah!"
