成都府正法灝禪師上堂。舉永嘉到曹溪因緣乃曰。要識永嘉麼。掀翻海嶽求知己。要識祖師麼。撥動乾坤建太平。二老不知何處去。卓拄杖曰。宗風千古播嘉聲。

Chan Master Hao of Zhengfa in Chengdu Prefecture ascended the hall. He brought up the story of Yongjia going to Caoxi and said: "Do you want to know Yongjia? Overturning seas and mountains to seek an intimate friend. Do you want to know the Patriarch? Stirring heaven and earth to establish great peace. Where the two old masters went is unknown." He tapped his staff and said, "The ancestral style spreads fine renown for ten thousand ages."
