鄂州報恩成禪師上堂。秋雨乍寒。汝等諸人青州布衫成就也未。良久喝曰。雲溪今日冷處著一把火。便下座。
Chan Master Cheng of Bao'en in Ezhou ascended the hall: 'The autumn rain turns suddenly cold. Have all of you finished making your Qingzhou cloth robes?' After a long pause he shouted and said, 'Today Yunxi builds a fire in a cold place!' He then stepped down from the seat.
