越州稱心守明禪師。僧問。如何是佛。師曰。道什麼。云如何是法。師曰。道什麼。云如何是僧。師曰。道什麼。云謝師重重相為。師曰。道什麼。

Chan Master Chengxin Shouming of Yuezhou. A monk asked, "What is the Buddha?" The Master said, "What are you saying?" He said, "What is the Dharma?" The Master said, "What are you saying?" He said, "What is the Saṅgha?" The Master said, "What are you saying?" He said, "Thank you, Master, for aiding me again and again." The Master said, "What are you saying?"
