尼波羅國（北印度）周四千餘里在雪山中。都城周二十餘里。雜信寺及天寺極多。僧二千餘人。大小兼學王純信佛。城內有閣高二百餘尺。周八十步上容萬人。面別三疊疊別七層。俳佪四廈刻以奇異。珍寶飾之。

The kingdom of Nepāla (in Northern India): It is more than four thousand li in circuit, situated among the Snowy Mountains. The capital is more than twenty li in circuit. Monasteries and deva temples of mixed beliefs are extremely numerous. There are more than two thousand monks, who study both the Mahāyāna and the Hīnayāna. The king has pure faith in the Buddha. Within the city there is a pavilion over two hundred feet high and eighty paces in circuit, accommodating ten thousand people above. Each side has three terraces, each terrace having seven stories. The walkways and four wings are carved with wondrous designs and adorned with rare jewels.
