魏高祖孝文帝（於鄴造安養寺。召四方僧。六宮侍女皆持年三月六齋有慕道者放令出家。手不釋卷頃便為講為。先皇再治大覺大行供施。度僧尼一萬四千人）。

Emperor Xiaowen, Gaozu of the Wei (in Ye built Anyang Monastery, summoning monks from the four directions; the palace ladies in the six quarters all observed the three long months of fasting and the six fast days; those who longed for the Way were permitted to leave home; books never left his hands, and soon he would lecture on them; on behalf of the late emperor he restored Dajue and Daxing monasteries, making offerings, and ordained 14,000 monks and nuns).
