耽摩栗底國（東印度）周千五百里。都城周十餘里。濱海卑濕。寺十所僧千餘人。天祠五十異道雜居。育王立塔四佛行坐跡　又西北行七百餘里至。

The kingdom of Tāmralipti (Eastern India) is 1,500 li in circuit. The capital is over 10 li in circuit, bordering the sea, low and damp. There are ten monasteries with over 1,000 monks. There are fifty deva temples where tīrthikas dwell mixed together. Aśoka erected a stupa and traces of the walking and sitting of the four buddhas. Travelling over 700 li northwest, one reaches [the following kingdom].
