予自右轄出鎮鍾陵。祕監家兄不忍遠別。函見宰坐求替。遂得同赴江西時也。薦福大德顯公禪門上首言。歸東林。亦獲結侶道路陪遊。每承清論。今過寺。因留題詩一首。

When I left the Right Department of the Chancellery to govern Zhongling, my elder brother, the Director of the Palace Library, could not bear to part far from me. He submitted an envelope to the Chief Minister requesting an exchange of posts, and was thus able to proceed together to Jiangxi. At that time, the bhadanta of Jianfu Temple, the Venerable Xian, the leader of the Chan gate, spoke of returning to Donglin. We also had the good fortune to form companionships, accompanying one another on the road and roaming together, constantly receiving his pure discussions. Now passing by the temple, I accordingly leave this inscribed poem.
