大中天子海恩深。再使迷徒識佛心。半死白蓮初降雲。欲成荒地又鋪金。僧開石室經猶在。虎印溪泉跡未沈。誰謂五湖書劍客。此生重得見東林。

The Son of Heaven of the Dazhong era showed deep grace like the sea, / Once more letting deluded followers recognize the Buddha's mind. / Half-withered white lotuses first welcome falling clouds; / Land that was turning to wasteland is again paved with gold. / Monks open the stone chamber where sūtras still remain; / The tiger's paw-prints at the mountain creek have not yet sunk away. / Who would have thought that a swordsman-scholar roaming the Five Lakes / In this life would once again see Donglin Temple!
