A new thatched cottage of five roof-frames and three bays: / Stone foundations, cassia pillars, and stone-interwoven walls. / The south eaves take in the sun, warm in the months of winter; / The north doors greet the breeze, cool in the months of summer. / Sprinkling the steps, the flying cascade barely makes a sound; / Brushing the windows, slanted bamboos have not yet formed a row. / Next spring I shall add thatch to the eastern wing, / With paper screens and reed blinds to accommodate Meng Guang.
