廖處士書齋據湘江之濱。圖凝融數世能詩。自唐云祐末居此。今有五峯。集行於世。嘗作詩云。買得衡州十里青是也。水木澄秀。地近而境遠。實湘中衣冠之甲焉。

The study of Hermit Liao rests upon the bank of the Xiang River. His family portraits had accumulated over several generations of poetic talent. He lived here from the end of the Qianyou era of the Tang. Today his Wufeng ji is in circulation in the world. He once composed a poem that said: "I have bought ten li of green in Hengzhou," which refers to this. The waters and trees are pure and elegant; the place is close to town yet its atmosphere is remote. It is truly the foremost among the gentry of Xiangzhong.
