憑惟良。字雲翼。湘人也。修道於南嶽中宮。與徐靈符陳寡言為煙霞之友。香火之外琴酒自娛。久之就降真堂師田先生受三洞祕訣。治病痊毒。於元和中。侍師東入天台山而得道。

Feng Weiliang, courtesy name Yunyi, was a native of Xiang. He cultivated the Way in the Central Palace of Nanyue, and was a friend of the mists and clouds with Xu Lingfu and Chen Guayan. Beyond incense and fire, he entertained himself with the zither and wine. After a long while, he went to the Hall of Descending Truth, where he took Master Tian as his teacher and received the secret formulas of the Three Caverns, curing illnesses and healing poisons. During the Yuanhe era, he attended his master east into the Tiantai Mountains and attained the Way.
