I answered: 'Your question comes from a thoughtful mind. This is what the vast multitude is confused about, not having reached its root. Although the spirit does not depend on corporeal form, that corporeal form must be born, and in the corporeal form that must be born, this spirit must reside. Must reside and must be born: illumination and stimulus become one, naturally aiding each other. Naturally aiding each other, principle reaches its culmination in molding. When molding occurs, efficacy is preserved; when efficacy is preserved, the Dao prevails. It is like the four seasons with respect to the myriad things: how could they intentionally aid them? It is simply what accords with principle, the natural outcome.'
