The pagoda in Mao County, three hundred and seventy li east of Yuezhou: in the second year of the Taikang era of the Western Jin, the śramaṇa Huida received a resonance and it welled up from the earth. It is one foot four inches high and seven inches wide, with five tiers of dew-receiving basins; its color is blue-green, resembling stone yet not stone. On its four sides are carved hundreds and thousands of extraordinary figures. Emperor Wu of the Liang built a wooden pagoda to enclose it. The eight princes carried it on palanquins to tour the prefectures and villages. Today, miraculous light, sounds, and holy monks are seen, fully detailed as in the separate biography.
