江州廬山文殊師利瑞像者。昔晉名臣陶侃建。旟南海有漁人見海濱有光。白侃令尋之。俄見金像凌波趣船。接銘乃育王所造文殊也。送往武昌寒溪寺。後遷荊州迎像上船。船即沒水。遠法師迎入廬山。一無有礙。今在山東林重閣。

Regarding the miraculous image of Mañjuśrī on Mount Lu in Jiangzhou: formerly, when the renowned Jin minister Tao Kan established his banner in the Southern Sea, a fisherman saw a light along the seashore. He informed Kan, who ordered people to search for it. Shortly thereafter, a golden image was seen skimming across the waves toward the boat. Upon receiving it, the inscription indicated it was a Mañjuśrī made by King Aśoka. It was sent to Hanxi Temple in Wuchang. Later, when Kan was transferred to Jingzhou, they tried to welcome the image onto a boat, but the boat sank into the water. When Master Yuan welcomed it to Mount Lu, there was no obstruction whatsoever. It is now in the multistoried pavilion of Donglin Temple on the mountain.
