Now, the conditions for the ten unwholesome deeds are immense, easily misleading the path of the mind; the power of the myriad virtues is slight, difficult to move the spiritual nature. Therefore, Makānta dashed into the fire, establishing his resolution in the place of enlightenment; the Bodhisattva hurled his body, determined to attain wondrous awakening. Sentient beings accumulate defilements, drifting without return; the sea of suffering easily sinks them, while the waves of compassion surge in vain. Thirsting attachment and birth-and-death share the same gate; nescience and the net of entanglements walk the same path. Each rushes into the hundred wrongs, bound by these four sufferings. Humans contemplate joining forces to illuminate those three vidyās. Therefore the Tathāgata adapts his conversions to the faculties [of beings], just as a great king of physicians dispenses medicine according to the ailment. Nowadays the foundation of the imperial transformation reaches heaven and nets the earth, fanning the benevolent wind across myriad kalpas, reforming the end-times of a hundred kings. Covering and supporting the multitude of beings, he lovingly nurtures the common folk. From heaven's verge and beyond the seas, they uphold righteousness and drink in the wind, holding their craws and whistling with lips, embracing benevolence and drinking in virtue. Among the people, none are distinguished as worthy or base, but loved equally like an only son. All of you assembled should each overcome yourselves with sincere devotion, purifying your minds in thorough earnest: On behalf of the Most Venerable, pay reverent homage to Śākyamuni Buddha of the Sahā World, to the Venerable Sandalwood Virtue of the Joyful World, to the Moon-Lightning Tathāgata of the Rock-Crystal Land, to the Mountain-Ocean-Wisdom Buddha of the Precious-Radiance World. We pray that the Sage's reign may rival heaven and earth in grandeur, and his compassionate illumination shine equally with the sun and moon. May the Nine Regions be blanketed in the blessing of prosperity, and the Eight Directions extend in the grace of benevolence and longevity. May the beauty of the jade candlestick become daily known in distant regions, and songs of beating the soil be heard universally throughout the realm. Reverence arises from the mind, which is why the five limbs are outwardly respectful; feeling issues from within, which is why the six consciousnesses pervade throughout. Hence, once a single virtue tinctures the mind, it does not decay through myriad kalpas; when a hundred lamps shed expansive illumination, a thousand li are brightly lit. Relying on the Dharma to achieve peace, accumulating goodness to extend blessings. Today we are fortunate to meet with this guidance and inducement; how could we fail to exhaust the pathways of our minds, and on behalf of the Crown Prince pay homage to the Eastern Ocean of Jewels, the Southern Radiant Lamp, the Western Immeasurable, and the Northern Mark-Virtue. We pray that the radiance of the Li trigram may illuminate within, while joined jade rings harmonise without; jade vibrating, clouds floating, golden sounds, and the ocean as a mirror. His morning countenance, the gentle wind of the four virtues: having both distinguished himself in gentle and refined virtue, he truly shoulders the gravity of supervising the state. The living beings drink in his virtue; conscious beings feed on his benevolence. Harmonising internal transformation, his affairs are splendid as in the Zhou scriptures; praising virtue and harbouring beauty, his instructions stand tall in the honest chronicles. Thus, matching the upright and serving heaven, he manifests the seven teachings in benevolent virtue; spreading the wind and gathering blessings, he elucidates the six garments in gentle compassion. Let each concentrate the mind, and on behalf of the Noble Imperial Consort take refuge and pay reverent homage to the fifty-three Buddhas, the thirty-five Honoured Ones, the thousand of the future Bhadrakalpa, and the one hundred and seventy of the present. We pray that her moon-like features may flourish alongside the myriad virtues, and the sound of gold bring blessings together with the four seasons; awakening the seven factors of enlightenment to shine brightly, relying on the ten wisdoms for constant bliss. Guarding the inner chambers in upholding benevolence, the treasury of the palace cherishing virtue; her brightness equal to stacked jades, dazzling like the gems of Kunlun.
