臣諱啟。舍人王景曜至奉宣勅旨曲垂逮問。并聽臣隨從舍利入殿禮拜。謹奉秋色昭澄預表光瑞。臣比身心得無障惱。明陪扈寶函。謹鞠躬恭到。但不生羽翼無假神通。身昇淨土高排閶闔。足踐蓮華方茲非喻。昇躡寶梯比斯未重。誘導殊恩實迴始望。顧茲塵縛喜戴不勝。謹啟。

Your subject [Xiao Gang], speaking his tabooed name, submits this memorial: The Palace Attendant Wang Jingyao arrived and conveyed the imperial decree graciously inquiring after me, and also permitting your subject to follow the relics into the palace to pay homage. Respectfully receiving this, the autumn hues were clear and bright, presaging luminous portents. Lately, your subject's body and mind have been free from hindrances and afflictions. Tomorrow, I will accompany the precious reliquary-casket, bowing respectfully as I arrive. Without growing wings, I have no need for supernatural powers; in body I ascend to the Pure Land, soaring high through the Changhe Gates of Heaven. Treadling upon lotuses cannot compare to this; climbing jeweled stairs cannot match its weight. This extraordinary grace of guidance truly surpasses my initial hopes. Looking at this worldly bond, I am overcome with joy and veneration. Respectfully submitted.
