17.45

隋州典籤王威送流人九十。道逢舍利。盡釋其囚。千里期集無一違者。隋州人於溳水作魚獄三百。既見舍利。亦悉決放之。餘州若此。類蓋多矣。

Wang Wei, a clerk of Sui Prefecture, was escorting ninety exiles. Meeting the relics on the road, he released all the prisoners; they agreed to reassemble after a thousand leagues, and not a single one failed to appear. People of Sui Prefecture had made three hundred fish enclosures in the Yun River; having seen the relics, they also breached them all and set the fish free. Other prefectures had many similar cases of this kind.
