17.74

豫州表云。舍利瓶有白光。須臾成五色遊轉瓶內。形相非常。又鑿舍利銘。其石更無異質。鑿至皇帝一字。從上點及竪牽橫畫。隨鑿之處如刻金所成。

The memorial from Yuzhou stated: The relic bottle had a white light that shortly turned into five colours circulating inside the bottle, with extraordinary manifestations. Moreover, when carving the relic inscription, the stone was of no unusual substance; but when carving reached the single character 'Emperor', from the upper dot to the vertical strokes and horizontal lines, wherever was carved appeared as if formed by incising gold.
