第三慚愧諸子。然彼實能晨昏定省。色養無虧。而終貧煎無物賑給。故使諸子無由得立。又闕教導使子愚昏。實為可愧。

Third is feeling shame toward one's children. Truly they are able to inquire after my comfort morning and evening, never failing in filial devotion, yet being thoroughly impoverished with nothing to provide for them, I have left my children with no means to establish themselves. Furthermore, lacking instruction, I have caused my children to be foolish and benighted. This is truly shameful.
