The Emperor then personally took the seven-jeweled casket, offered the thirty relics, came out from the inner palace, and placed them on the table before the imperial throne. Together with the śramaṇas, he burned incense and bowed in reverence, vowing: 'May this disciple constantly protect and uphold the triratna with the true Dharma and rescue all sentient beings.' He then took thirty gold bottles and thirty vaidūrya jars, placed the gold bottles inside the vaidūrya jars, and set the relics inside them. Using frankincense as mortar, they sealed the lids and stamped them with seals. At the same hour of noon on the fifteenth day of the tenth month, the thirty prefectures simultaneously placed them into bronze and stone reliquaries and erected the stupas all at once.
