維唐龍朔元年春三月。西華觀道士朝散大夫郭行真敬造。真惟。佛道稱聖。咸作化於含元。寶乘靈寶。俱開津於有識。然則承俗訓。一風軌於醮章。佛垂法網。是舟師於形有。自非統括經誥。孰能輕舉。謹竭誠心。敬傳經像。用資景福通祇無邊。啟深信之根前。喻即真之正業。可不然歟。

In the third month of spring in the first year of the Longshuo era of the Great Tang, Guo Xingzhen, Daoist priest of Xihua Abbey and Court Gentleman for Miscellaneous Duties, reverently made [this inscription]. Xingzhen reflects: Both Buddhism and Daoism are termed holy; both enact transformation among all living beings. The Precious Vehicle and Numinous Treasure both open the ford for sentient beings. Thus, following secular instruction, unified manners and rules lie in the liturgical petitions of the jiao sacrifice; the Buddha spreads the net of Dharma, acting as the helmsman for embodied existence. Unless one integrates the scriptures and teachings, who could ascend lightly? I respectfully exhaust my sincere mind, reverently transmitting scriptures and images, so as to aid vast fortune and pervade boundless realms, opening the roots of deep faith in the present and illuminating the correct practice of realizing truth. Could it be otherwise?
